Bello und Bella

Rev dear Rev: What does the Catholic Church teach on the subject of the Wars that periodically afflict our world, is there anything positive that can be said about them?

Whichever the diplomatic efforts upstairs by the churches and elites of the superior diplomatic services of those churches, and these will invite both sides of any war to the negotiating tables, the official theo-doctrinal document of the Church, the CCC, does teach that in general wars can only be a positive if they are defensive wars. So too was D-Day, a largely defensive concept, as the British and Americans had been backed to the ropes. Indeed King Charles III when he was visiting Normandy for the anniversary of the D-Day Landings there, 1944- 2014, which led to the overthrow of the various evil German regimes around Europe, an evil begun arguably by a woman girlfriend of Adolf, fighting the Germans then with much help from the Russians too, he explained that the only thing that justified that war was the feeling that the Allies had had had had that a great evil of a metaphysical kind had descended upon Europe in the form of Adolf and his henchmen and their Clinique style girlfriends, and that a sort of exorcism campaign was needed to eradicate and expunge and excavate all that evil and throw it out of Eec human institutes, human colleges, and human schools - it was a supernatural duty the Allies felt they owed to the poor long suffering peoples of the continent, no wonder that when those awful Nazi symbols of a German kind reared their heads again in recent decades, psychological national trauma was induced to the East, and so the Russians in recent times invoked the same Spirit with the blessing of the priests and bishops of Christian Russian Orthodoxy, when tackling the apparent Fascism and Nazi evils of the Azov battalions of the murderous 2014-2020 Poroshenko campaigns in Eastern Ukraine - both parties, both Churchill and Putin, felt they had a duty to free up the peoples from a very great and large evil that had descended upon the Eurozone. Simple as that, in this sense, from the point of view of western bourgeoisie moral theologians, the lesser of two evils argument comes into play for such a schema among the British and the Russians, then allies at that time, sufficient to justify the use of force, in order to liberate the peoples. Simple schema, complex reason. But supernatural in its range of intent. That is how the Allies heard it explained in 2014 from the then Prince Charles at the D-Day Landing Commemoration Ceremonies. Different, and this time a slightly positive role for the force of arms, and for lines of marching men and girls, as we have seen for the first time in a modern theatre of war when the Russian girls as well as boys got involved in the Ukrainian Cleansing Campaign of 2020. 700,000 Russian males quite the Russian Federation recently upon news of a partial mobilisation of combat troops, a communications problem from head office, but these evidently did not accept that the ancient evil of the Egyptians had reared its ugly head, and that the suppression of evil by military force was now asked for, as once happened on the beaches of Normandy. The debate is ongoing, but King Charles is the first to broach the subject adroitly, when is a defensive war a positive war?
